Today was the Jingle Bear 5K Race and what a great race to kick off December!
The best thing about this race is how the event directors made it their own. They provided jingling bells for people to attach to their bodies and shoes as well as santa hats to all the race participants. Sure, you might not choose to run the race in the santa hats but it makes for a great gesture that places a smile on everyones face! At the end of the race it was easy to see all the cheer in the crowd with spectators and athletes all wearing their hats and jingling away. Many of the successful races these days have something that makes it unique and interesting. It keeps people coming back every year and it is also a lot of fun to play the part. Many races that do a great job of doing this are the links below! The Color Run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EERSfHiqT8 The Moustache Run http://www.moustacherun.com/page/show/654420-moustache-run-is-open-to-all-guys-or-gals-with-or-without-moustache- Tonight we are out DJing for Alpha Phi sorority at the Minneasota History Center.
This is one of the coolest places we have DJed. With a perfect view of the capital out the window, it makes for an awesome dance location! If your not dancing you could be learning something with all the history on the walls including a huge full replica of the Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny" Plane hanging in the middle! At tonight’s wedding there was something very special:
The bridesmade that was giving the speech changed the normal speech into a complete song to the tune ofTrain's Hey Soul Sister singing about how they are finally married. She sang "He likes hockey and she likes shopping." It was a great spin off of a normal speech that caught everyones attention and was very different from the normal run of the mill speech that a lot of people give. Not to mention it caught my attention after I have heard close to 200 speeches. Check out more ideas to good toasts with these sites! |
